Tech2Transfer is an initiative of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) The Apex Industry Association in India and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology (ICAMT).

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The overall objective of CII initiatives in Technology front is to play an active role in the CIIs Mission on Sustainable Growth. CII initiated its activities in the area of technology from the first quarter of the 90s. Today technology is one of the thrust areas of CII along with other key areas such as Quality, Energy and Environment. The primary focus is to bring technology to Centre stage and make technology as a movement in the Indian Industry. IPR forms a major integral part of CII initiatives in Technology.

CII - Technology & IPR Division has experienced technical professionals as part of the team. The division is connected with a vast network of Technical Institutions and experts in the country and overseas. The division works in tandem with Indian industry to develop & promote innovative technologies and to establish the right linkages for successful technology absorption and commercialization. IPR is identified as the key area to support the industry in terms of creating awareness, direct services to the members and providing policy inputs to the Government.

For connecting industry and society at the farthest corner of the country, CII is promoting State Level Technology Development & Promotion Centres under Public-Private Partnership. Presently following two Centres are working

CII has created an excellent model of Public-Private Partnership for promoting innovation culture in the society and also to promote innovations amongst industry.

• Support creation of innovation culture across the society CII, DST & Intel has started a programme IRIS Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science

ICAMT

The International Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (ICAMT)

The International Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (ICAMT) is one of the International Technology Centres (ITCs) established by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with cooperation of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

ICAMT is an integral part of UNIDO exchange. This enables effective networking with Government organizations, public and private enterprises, R&D institutions, international technology centres, universities, funding and investment agencies, UNIDO field offices and UNIDO investment and technology promotion offices worldwide.
